Notes

This course is certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) scheme and is also IATCA compliant. Successful completion of the course fulfils the training requirements for registration of individual auditors under the IRCA or other IATCA schemes worldwide.

All QMI course involve a high level of student participation. A full set of student notes will be provided.

A Certificate of Successful Completion is awarded to those who satisfactorily complete the examination.

Aim

As a result of attending you will be able to:
  • Describe the purpose of a quality management system and explain the 8 principles of quality management.
  • Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and ISO 10011 or its successor, ISO 19011.
  • Interpret requirements of ISO 9001 in the contest of an audit.
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors.
  • Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with the ISO 10011 or its successor, ISO 19011, demonstrating ability to:
    1. Plan and prepare effectively
    2. Gather objective evidence, through effective interviewing, observation, sampling and note taking.
    3. Analyse and interpret information in order to determine conformance with requirements.
  • Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports.
  • Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.
