 Description
The course if based on the ISO 19011 Guidelines for Quality and/or environmental Management System Auditing. These guidelines are equally applicable to auditing Safety Management Systems.
It covers the following topics:
- Safety Management Systems
- Safety Management System requirements
- Interpreting the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Requirements
- Selecting and training auditors
- Setting up the audit programme
- Initiating and preparing for audits
- Carrying out audit reviews
- Presenting and reporting audit findings
- Corrective action and follow-up audits
Aim
As a result of attending you will:
- Gain an understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007
- Be able to plan and organise an audit using the latest techniques
- Be able to write a non-conformity report (NCR) based on objective evidence obtained during an audit
Audience
This course provides students with a working knowledge of the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard along with the basic auditing skills needed to plan and conduct Internal Audits within their own organisation.
